Witnessing can be a confusing word.
Someone may think that witnessing is witnessing the world, witnessing the Sansar.
That is not true.
Witnessing is the ability to witness; one has a capacity to witness, and that is consciousness itself.
But then one might say, “I can witness.” “I am witnessing the world.”
What’s the difference?

One is witnessing the world through one’s senses, while the other is beyond the senses. It can witness senses & plus (Ashtadha prakruti).
Correct.
We are nothing.
We think we are witnessing, but without the consciousness in us, neither would we be able to witness, nor even think that we are witnessing.
The proof is in witnessing the thinker: so-called witness can be witnessed, but not the awareness.
It’s like moonlight is one, but once it falls on several lakes and oceans, they all believe the light is theirs, yet in reality there is only ONE light. The moment the moonlight disappears, their borrowed light disappears as well.
Awareness is the light that does not know any duality; it lights up our senses, mind, thoughts, and everything; they are all bathing in it.
And one of our thoughts is “I”; me and mine, which separate us from others.
This creates a world of duality for all of us, causing us to suffer.
Knowing awareness as the ultimate supreme, and us as non-existent, eliminates our sufferings.
Life is just happening; let it happen, count its blessings, realize the ego as a poison, and stay away from it.
The way to rise above the Ego is to live in awareness; stay aware of awareness, and the Ego starts dwindling.
