How do we watch the thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and feelings, and just let them pass?
How can we neglect them without getting attached to them?
Staying detached is not easy.
The answer lies within us.
And the culprit is our Ego.
The ego labels, classifies, and divides everything and everyone into good and evil.
By doing this, we create a duality within us: the good we like and the bad we dislike.
These divisions activate our mind; the good we chase and the bad we stay away from.
Labeling is the sole basis of our Ego (and suffering).
If we can avoid labeling, a tremendous peace can arise within us.
Any thoughts, emotions, or feelings that arise in the mind, let them rise, notice them, and you are not in a rush (or have time or interest ) to classify them; meanwhile, stay steady in full awareness (staying fully aware of awareness).
If there is pain, watch it as a temporary state, and it will pass.
If anger arises, watch it rise but don’t think, “I am angry”; treat it as an outside event, stay with awareness, and in due time, anger will pass.
This will lead to the fading of Sansar, the rising of the soul.
This is Dispassion, and it arises from within when your spiritual path has matured enough with regular meditation.
