Getting bored is a function of the mind.
It looks for alternatives,
as it loses interest in the present.
It looks for other outside avenues to become happy.
That’s all the mind knows, to run after objects, people, situations, to become happy.
If one doesn’t make you happy, look for another one.
Mind is always divided between present (what is), and not present (what isn’t) (mind fantasies for it) – chasing happiness all the time.
In fact, “future” is only an illusive creation of the mind to entertain itself.
The soul is homogeneous and undivided.
It is always content. It knows only the present; it is beyond time.
One who is content never gets bored.
Only the mind wants to become happy, as it is always unhappy.
Soul’s source of pleasure is itself—total contentment (sukh) (nij-ananad).
