You are the ocean, not a drop
Realize the truth that you are the serene ocean of awareness, nothing more and nothing less.
Your thoughts are the waves appearing in that ocean, including the wave of “I” ness (the biggest culprit).
One may wonder how I can live without the “I-ness,” but you can and you will.
You certainly can live without constantly competing with the world, without constantly judging yourself and the world, without a continually running mind driven by desires (a predatory mind).
With this approach, you can, and you will live a life of peace, harmony, and contentment.
The serene ocean of awareness that is your true nature is not just serenity or awareness; it is also the presence itself.
These are the three approaches to this enigmatic and yet realistic space.
Pure Presence – Sat
Pure Awareness – Chit
Pure serenity – Anand.
Sattachidanand.
One does not need body, mind, thoughts, or imagination to define this state, because it is here and now, beyond the framework of past, present, or future (time and space).
Your existence, your awareness, doesn’t need verification of your thoughts; they are just here and now.
This “present” that we call present is only a fantasized moment, sandwiched between our imagined past and imagined future (which are so real to us), and has little significance for us.
We are too busy playing with our plans and fantasies to care for the present.
NO.
The word “presence” carries a much more profound meaning; the presence that is everywhere, all around, not just in our minds; the whole universe is in presence.
Present – a mind’s divisive interpretation, a toy that the mind plays with ruthlessly.
Presence – an indivisible reality, a realization, beyond the comprehension of the ignorant mind.
