World of Names and Forms

Sansar is a world of names and forms.
Each form is given a name.
As soon as a new organism is discovered or a baby is born, a name is given to it.
Millions of stars have been either named or at least have been identified by individual numbers.
That’s the way Sansar works.
But we never realize what we are missing in all this.
Every name is like a hyperlink.
The moment a name is pronounced, a whole barrage of information opens up in our mind about that object, person, or situation.
And along with the name, our likes and dislikes, previous experiences, ideas, beliefs, and concepts about them, etc., also open up, occupying our significant mental space.
That’s why our mind is never at rest.
We look at an object or a person for their utilitarian value; we don’t really KNOW them.
When we look at a golden bracelet, we immediately start praising its beauty, its cost, and how it looks compared to other bracelets, and we forget the gold.
This is how we all live,
extracting something from the world all the time, and never knowing the world, let alone knowing ourselves.
The bracelet without a name is gold.
A human without a name is a human, a fantastic creation of existence.
Try living a life without identifying objects, people, or situations, and see how your life transforms.
Try not to find the stars’ names; bathe in the starlit night.
The stars were always there, even before we named them.
See a flower; try not to find its name or how it will look in your garden; drop the mind and lose yourself in its profound beauty; get astonished even at its mere presence.
When you come across an unknown person, don’t try to know them; just connect with them in silence with respect, for no reason.
These are the moments that will stay with you forever.
