Who are we?

Who are we?

The existence is us, and it is all around us and within us.

And this existence is not just a physical entity, it is conscious also.

We are a product of that existence.

A tree can not have an independent existence without the earth, water, sunlight, air, and space  ( to grow ).

That means a tree is existence itself which has taken a form, just the way a wave is nothing but an ocean that has taken a form.

Similarly, the five elements ( earth, water, fire, air, and space ) that create our body are the contributions of Prakriti ( nature, energy ).

But that is not enough.

We are alive too. We have Prana ( energy to live ).

Where did that come from?

The existence all around us is conscious also, and that is Prana.

So, the consciousness within us is the contribution of the Prana.

So, we are Prana+Prakriti.

We cannot exist without Pran+Prakriti, and yet we fail to recognize them because we believe that we are not part of them, we are independent.

And, that is the cause of our suffering.

Meditation is the process of reversing this grave mistake and going to the source of “Who am I?”

In the depth of meditation, one realizes that there is nothing like “I”.

At that point, only “am” ness, remains, and “I” disappears.

We disappear, and only existence remains.

It’s our mistake, and only we can correct it.

The matrix of conscious existence is all around us.

It is our birthplace and our death place also, just like for a fish, the ocean is its birthplace and death place.

Fish at least has a chance to get out of the ocean, because no matter how big the ocean is, at least it has a shoreline. Fish and get onto the shore and realize what can happen without the ocean.

But –

There is no escaping for us, from this conscious existence – the Godliness, because it is infinite.

When “I” drowns, it takes all the sufferings with it and leaves us with a perpetual, fearless, blissful existence.

So, MEDITATE.
