Thoughts

Thoughts

Thoughts are in our nature; they will not disappear totally, except in the state of Samadhi.

Thoughts are essential to living the Sansaric life and will continue to arise.

However, the spiritual path brings a fundamental shift in one’s thoughts after exposure to the profound silence within.

This exposure establishes the existence of the supreme reality ( and, simultaneously, the inconsequentiality of the world).

This leads to passion for the real and dispassion for the Sansar.

This dispassion reduces the quantity of thoughts and enhances their quality.

Ultimately, dispassion is the key, but it does not develop until a passion for silence has been established within oneself.

Then, only a harmonious life gets established.

The only way to “stay away” from the thoughts is to start dissociating from them.

The moment you say “ my thoughts,” you leave the realm of the truth and enter into the illusory world of Sansar, of which thoughts are the products.

Only by engrossing oneself in consciousness and not being the owner of the arising thoughts can one win over the mind and the Samsara.

Just as we say “ my body,” we also say “ my thoughts “without ever realizing or even trying to realize WHO is saying that.

The illusion begins to take shape only when you attempt to claim ownership of your thoughts.

Contemplate this while meditating.

Try to determine who is thinking and where the source of their thoughts originates.

And you will end up in an infinite void.

That’s when the falsity of the Ego ( “ I “ ness ) surfaces.

The Ego is an illusion, not a real entity.

That’s when the consciousness becomes “alive” as the only truth, and a profound silence prevails.

Don’t try to make this silence a goal; conduct a genuine, curious search within, and silence will be the automatic outcome.

The key thing is to stop claiming ownership of your thoughts; let them arise and fall, and they always will.
