Thought of the day.

What is wisdom?

Wisdom is the way to destroy the palace of our Ego brick by brick, which we have built over many lives, one desire ( brick ) at a time.

Rising wisdom ( buddhi ) within helps you make the right decisions in life (Shreya ( good ) vs. prey ( pleasant ) ).

Every time we choose Preya, we are enforcing the superiority of the mind over Atma ( Sansar over Parmatma, impermanence over permanence ), and transcendence never happens.

Every time you choose Shreya, you are establishing a new pattern in your within, NOT LISTENING TO THE MIND.

Mind, of course, will rebel, but at that time, wisdom will pick you up and give you support.

Over time, if done repetitively, the mind starts losing its grip on you, and the light of Atma ( positivity ) starts prevailing …

In my life, going Vegan and running marathons were two significant victories over the mind.

But suppressing the mind, crushing it, doesn’t work because it’s the mind trying to destroy itself.

That doesn’t last long.

Nobody wants to die.

It always rebels sooner or later.

People do Atthais ( 8 days of fasting in Jainism ), and they are back to their regular weight within a few months.

The only source of wisdom is within, and they don’t have it.

Because they don’t have the depths beyond the mind, and the mind is a fool.

If you keep listening to it, it will even take you to a death trap, and it does.

I have seen it in my practice all the time.

If you develop wisdom, it stays with you all the time.

At each meal, you can apply that wisdom and choose food wisely each time.

Then you will never gain weight, ever, and never need to do Atthais.

Wisdom is the strength of Atma which can defeat the vagaries and whims of the mind and elevate you to Sthitpragnya state

Wisdom is not just related to deciding on food or drinks or other objects of pleasure.

Wisdom is also helpful in deciding what to speak and when to speak.

At the same time, also what and when not to speak.

Our words are precious.

They can be precursors of many consequences.

Right words at the right time have prevented many wars and vice versa; wrong words at the wrong time have led to many wars and damage on both sides.
