The story of two salt dolls
Two salt dolls decided they wanted to check the depth of the ocean.
Last time, they were seen jumping into the ocean, and they haven’t returned yet
Let’s get deeper… 😊
In the very symbolic story of the salt dolls, what component is the most important?
The two dolls?
The salt of the dolls?
The dolls’ attempt to know the depth?
The jumping in the ocean?
The depth of the ocean? or
The disappearance of the dolls?.
The tricky part of the question was that no ONE component is more important than the others.
I forced you to choose, but in reality, nothing happens with only one single component; all components are equally important for any event to occur.
So –
The two salt dolls.
Why two dolls? They represent duality. We all are salt dolls.
Why salt only and not any other material? – because the salt of the dolls and the salt of the ocean are the same (salt comes from the ocean only).
We are born in Godliness; we are the Godliness. (Without salt, salt dolls do not exist; without Godliness, we do not exist).
Trying to know the depth is our effort to go within – meditation.
Why “Knowing” ? – the mind always wants to know.
The mind is all we have, so yes, we would like to “know” God. (The mind starts meditation).
Meditation is making a courageous effort to leave the comforts of the known world and explore the unknown world within.
The depth of the ocean is the limitlessness of consciousness; infinite (shunya state).
That’s why the dolls give up. (Knowledge falls short; the mind finds its limitation).
The dolls allow themselves to be dissolved.
The salt of the dolls and the salt of the ocean become one. (They were always ONE).
The darkness of Duality disappears, and the non-dual world of Shunyata lights up.
The doll was an illusion; the ocean is the truth.
We are the mortals, and Shunyata (Godliness) is immortal.
