Silence Is Your Home Game...

Silence Is Your Home Game…

SILENCE IS YOUR HOME GAME

We are attached to thoughts and are afraid to be free from them, because, without thoughts (mind), we feel we will be lost in nothingness.

While meditating, observe where thoughts arise and where they disappear.

Nothingness.

It is this nothingness that we are afraid of.

Meditation is all about getting comfortable with this nothingness.

Nothingness is your resting state (non-doer), and thoughts are your active state (doer).

Thoughts are also sequential.

Once a thought arises, another one attaches to it, and it keeps doing so till it becomes a firm conviction, and conviction is what we always walk around with; it’s impossible to break from it. (I am Hindu, I am rich, I am smart, etc.).

The aggregate of all such beliefs and convictions creates our individual identity – Ego.

Trace all the components of the Ego, and you will find the seat of it all – “I” – the first mistake.

But “I” is only a thought; it has to be.

Only then can more thoughts pile up on it; only thoughts know thoughts, all of them being the products of the mind.

But, realize, nothingness is nothing to be afraid of; it is another alternative state, a state before sliding into “I” -ness.

“I” leads to a complex, chaotic labyrinth by keeping producing repetitive thoughts; nothingness keeps you in peace, silence, and, of course, nothingness.

When any experience arises, remain aware and watch.

“I” will try to rise and claim “ownership” of that event – I’m happy, I’m sad, I’m rich, etc. (leading to consequent suffering).

Instead, take a deep breath and choose to stay in nothingness.

That way, “I” would not get any support (of awareness), and it would die out.

Nothingness is perpetual, so it has built-in wisdom to know every experience as a short-lasting event, not an eternal truth, because nothingness itself is eternal, it itself is the only truth, and it KNOWS it.

Religious beliefs can change, your wealth can change into poverty in a different circle, and so can your smartness.

Without the interference of “I”, nothingness will just continue to exist in perpetual peace.

To realize such a subtle nuance, you will need to meditate and be in a state of full awareness.
