Shunyata

Shunyata

Shunya state is the expansion of your limited self to an infinite one, the existence.

That is a real freedom.

Experiencing this freedom transforms your life.

It does several things –

1. You realize that you are not the body. This also aligns with seeing others not as their bodies but as their true selves, which changes how you see them.
2. This newfound freedom, you would not want to sacrifice. How do we sacrifice our freedom? – by desiring, by trying to own something, or someone, and all ownerships are slavery, losing your freedom. (You don’t own a dog, dog owns you).
3. When you start cherishing this freedom, you want others to have the same freedom. This leads to non-violence.
4. Oneness gets established by realizing that everything and everyone exists in the same formless, divine shunya state.
5. Realizing this, one starts perceiving the divine everywhere, in animate or inanimate.
6. The fear of death vanishes, and you don’t identify with the body anymore; now you identify with life itself; life becomes joy.

What lies beyond awareness is the deep abyss of stillness.

In that ocean of stillness, a wave (a notion of individuality) arose when the awareness became aware of itself.

This notion later became the seed for the ego.

Stillness is an indefinable, unknowable entity, and it cannot be touched by awareness, as it defies “knowing”.

(Anatta – no Atma – Buddha).

This is the formless source of every form in the universe.

“Before the consciousness, I was.” – Nisargdatta.

The universe (or the universes) is like a tree arising from this soil of stillness.

We are also a tree of that stillness.

Our body is the stem, thoughts are the leaves, and desires are the fruits.

All forms are unique, yet pervaded by the same stillness (nothingness).

Realization of our common origin gives rise to a Bhav of Oneness from within.

Being One need not remain an intellectual hypothesis; let it become a factual reality through spiritual sadhana.

Beyond this point, as Shaileshbhai said, the boat of faith (viswas) becomes the only means to traverse further.

Thoughts move, emotions move, ideas, beliefs, and concepts move; the stillness keeps one centered, anchored.
