Sansar Vs Samadhi
In Sansar, everybody needs, and that’s why they want others.
This is a life of interdependency, nothing more, and nothing less.
And everyone does that without any choice, none excluded.
Those who see something wrong with this are rare, and they choose another path of freedom from this interdependency (a relative existence).
Samadhi is the culmination of this spiritual path and the realization of an independent, an absolute existence, free from the locked-in life of the Sansar.
That is the lotus of Samadhi.
Our dependency is evident in each sheath of ours.
1. Annamaya Kosha ( Food sheath ), our physical body needs food to sustain itself.
2. Pranmaya Kosha ( energy sheath ) needs the food we eat for energy and also the oxygen we breathe.
3. Manomaya Kosha ( our mind, knowledge ) needs to be fed with knowledge of various objects, people, and situations of the Sansar, which keeps our mind going.
4. Vigyanmaya Kosha ( higher intellect, intelligence ) is higher than #3, but it still needs to be finally applied in the sansar, to choose the right path in life. Sansar is still its food.
So, up until now, Sansar has fed the first four sheaths.
5. Anandmaya Kosha is pure awareness. It stands by itself, and its source ( food ) is unknown. It just is, in its absolute independent state.
We have all the sheaths – 1-5 with us, now.
Meditation is all about peeling off these sheaths one by one and realizing the ultimate, absolute state of Samadhi.
