Pot in an ocean.

Pot in an ocean.

It’s a famous example given in scriptures over thousands of years.

We are like a pot in the ocean of consciousness.

Inside us is consciousness, and outside also.

Isavashaya Upanishad also says the same thing.

We all are pervaded, enveloped, penetrated, clothed, and indwelt by God.

There is no way to detach from God ( Godliness, consciousness ) because He is infinite.

No matter how much we run away from Him, we cannot escape Him.

Question – What does the pot represent?

Answer –

“The pot is the ARTIFICIAL boundary set by the mind.”

Body ( physical or mental ) is only a belief and a false one, the biggest falsity of all.

An example of the pot in the ocean is for beginners on the spiritual path.

(Similarly, the first shlok of Isavashya Upanishad is also for beginners).

As you keep advancing, eventually, you transcend the Ego because it is false, and you are pursuing the truth on the spiritual path.

You grab the truth and drop the falsity, no matter how deep or how old it may be.

(Grab the diamonds and drop the pebbles.)

In the glaring light of the truth, the darkness of the belief in the pot disappears.

The second half of Shailesh’s statement, “ pot is elements came together temporarily, “ loses its potency in the power of the first half.

If it is an artificial boundary, then why talk about it?

What pot?
What elements?
What temporary?

A pot in an infinite ocean could not have “come” from “outside” because God is all-inclusive; nothing is “outside” of it.

So, pot is also the ocean, and we are God only. ( and so is everyone and everything.)

So, the pot is our false belief – the Ego – Stuti is correct.

The spiritual path is all about reaching the final truth.

HE IS, AND WE ARE NOT. ( physical or mental ).

Experience it because experience is everything.

Then only it becomes your truth.

But I realize, that words have to be used to communicate something that is beyond words, and that creates a logistical problem.

Even the statement – “Pot is the artificial boundary set by the mind.” accepts the mind as a real entity, and it is not.

MIND IS ALSO HIM.

Our belief in mind as mind makes it real.

Mind is not a thing either.

Mind is MINDING, a very dynamic process, that has fallen onto the path of ignorance.

But if we don’t talk about the mind, there is nothing left to talk about, no way to communicate.

And maybe that’s the best.

Most beautiful experiences can be expressed ( if at all ), only in silence.
