Ocean of Consciousness
There is a bottomless ocean hidden within us.
The purpose of the spiritual path is never to “know” it all, “know” God, “know” who made me, etc.
It is a path of knowing the knower.
To know the Sansar (objects, people, situations) is simple, basic, and anyone can do it in various proportions; a rich tycoon knowing where to invest his millions of dollars and a beggar knowing which street to beg in, may be quantitatively different, but qualitatively speaking, both are the same, knowers of Sansar.
On the other hand, “Knowing the knower”, qualitatively speaking, is entirely a different approach.
What we find within is so profound, so vast, that slowly, the “knower” starts losing his grip on himself, and becomes one with what he finds – the shunya state.
It is almost like, what will happen to a salt doll when it decides to jump into an ocean and measure its depth
It will lose itself in the process and become the ocean.
We are all that doll, but losing ourselves is not a loss; it is the biggest “gain” of a human life.
