Mind is a thought factory.

Mind is a thought factory.

Mind is a thought factory.

Just like a bubble-making device, it keeps producing bubbles of thought.

These thoughts are not thought of before they arise.

We don’t say, “ let me think of a certain thought”, and then think.

Most of the thoughts happen.

But, after a thought arises, we attach our Ego to it, and say, “ I thought”.

Anger arises spontaneously, as do love, happiness, and all other emotions.

And we attach Ego to them afterwards – “ I got angry, I love so and so, I am happy, etc.

We label the emotions as “our” after they happen.

Why? No obvious answer.

Even while meditating, thoughts arise spontaneously.

They keep coming; you don’t try to create thoughts.

And, if you don’t attach yourself to them, they also disappear spontaneously.

If you do attach, then the ego becomes alive.

Ego is our habit, our ignorance, not a reality.

Similarly, we call our body ‘me’.

Why?

Were we involved in making our own bodies? No.

Would we be involved in dismantling it after we die? No.

Our body goes through two essential events of life – birth and death- spontaneously.

( And so do all the critical events in between, like breathing, heart beating, getting hungry, thirsty, sexual maturity, etc ).

So, not just the body, but even the whole life, just happens.

Where is the room for “I”?

Attaching yourself to the body as “Me” is ignorance.

The ego is a false entity that tries to links all the events of life into a single string – I got born, I studied, I got angry, I will die, etc; but there is no link among these random events.

But this string is only an imagination, not a reality.

Realize the falsity of this and wake up.

Learn to be a witness, not a doer.

Life is a flow; just flow with it.

By lack of cooperation, thoughts will start phasing out, and spontaneously, out will arise the pure thoughtless consciousness – the joy of life.

If you believe yourself a wave in the river ( Ego ), you will rise and fall every second, and suffer with it.

If you realize yourself as the river, you will witness a joyful life.

It’s your ignorance, and only you can remove it; no one else can.
