Mind is a repetition.

Mind is a repetition.

Whatever the mind knows comes to it through the sense organs; it was never its own, and yet it always boasts about it.

It wants to show off what it knows.

To make itself look superior, it creates an entity called “I”, which it stamps on every piece of knowledge it gathers; I know this, I know that, I know him, I know her.

To expand its treasury, it creates memories, future fantasies, etc, and keeps playing in this self-created world, thinking that it did something great.

But another entity knows the mind and all its devious tricks.

Who is superior?

The mind that knows, or the one that knows the mind?

Only by revealing this higher entity can we show the insignificance of the mind.

And that entity is awareness, which arises from …

Meditation is a yagna (a ritual of offerings made to the fire), that asks for the biggest offering of all – “You”.

And that’s why it is called taap (rigorous spiritual practice) in the heat of which burns the Ego.

One who realizes the true nature of the mind becomes free from it.

Mind means repetition; it just likes to keep repeating the same object, the same people, the same situations.

Keep driving the same route to work, keep eating the same familiar food, the same familiar company, the same fixed drawer to keep the car keys in, the same home to return to at the end of the day; mind never gets tired of it; it likes this.

It is afraid to try something new, and even if it does, and likes it, it wants to keep repeating that too.

Mind means repetition.
