Mind is a Moviemaker

Mind is a Moviemaker

Only when the infinite is realized does one understand the crooked nature of the mind.

The mind is like a projector (and also a moviemaker), projecting a self-created movie onto the screen of awareness.

For the movie, a hero is essential around whom the story can develop.

So, the mind divides its own energy and creates the character of “I”, the hero, and everyone else.

( Same thing we do at night.
We divide our undivided mental energy into multiple characters in our dreams, even though there is only you. )

Once the cast is created, all subsequent episodes keep getting tagged onto this“I”.

Mind makes you believe you are the owner of the events-“I slept, I woke up, I ate, I drank,” etc.

The story keeps going.

I like, I dislike (Raga and dwesha).

The ego is born and continues to condense until death.

The mind needs the past to build the Ego, because the past is all it knows ( it cannot be the consciousness- the highest knowledge of all ).

Either it builds on the past or fantasizes about the future (which is also based on the past).

All addictions start with the first event; drinking the first beer or eating unhealthy foods, candies, or cakes, for example, and then they become part of your life ( your Ego ).

People we like, our minds want to keep seeing, and they become our friends; others, not.

The mind is like a gatekeeper, controlling who comes into your life and who doesn’t.

With many repetitions, with many choosing and chasing, we end up creating a vast, complex world, controlled and operated by the mind.

Consciousness, on the other hand, is truthful and straightforward. It does not accept past or future as they are fake. It just IS.

It lives in the moment, without any devaluation. ( Sthitpragnya ).

Meditation is the only magic that allows you to step out of the mind, find its complex nature, and live a simple, peaceful, and truthful life.

Stop living a fake life, live a REAL life.
