Mind and Consciousness
Mind is running consciousness.
Mind is not a separate entity from consciousness.
When the mind doesn’t run, it is pure consciousness.
When air moves, it is wind.
When water moves, it is a river; when it doesn’t, it is a lake, but the same water, resting.
River moves, ocean moves, clouds move.
Wherever there is motion, there is restlessness; there is an innate desire to change, to become something other than what the basal state is.
When we run, we become a runner and perceive it as a separate action.
But what happens when we stop running?
Nothing.
Running doesn’t go anywhere; it just ceases to be.
Running turns into resting.
Running or resting, we are the same.
Minding or not minding, it is the same consciousness.
Everything is consciousness; your thoughts, beliefs, concepts, convictions, any mental activity is consciousness, just in motion.
Self-realization is the realization of your true state, a state of rest, a state of not running.
In this powerful, restful state, impatience converts into patience; anger into tolerance; stress into peace and joy, and desires into contentment.
It is deep within you, waiting to be realized.
