Mechanics of Ego

The ego is not a fixed entity.

We should instead call it “Egoing”, an effortful activity we have been doing for eons.

Like a continuous fountain, Sansar keeps moving with its own inner urja (there is no English word for urja).

Urja is the innate energy, universally hidden, evenly distributed, and equally available to all.

Scientifically, we call it Dark Energy, which none of our instruments can detect, but it is there, hidden.

We keep trying to imprint ourselves on this fountain of urja, appearing as a perpetually moving Sansar.

Everything that is born is in the Sansar, and it keeps on continually heading towards death.

Since the fountain (sansar) keeps moving, we also have to keep imprinting (projecting) ourselves onto it continuously, my body, my toy, my parents, friends, wealth, cars, house, beliefs, concepts, likes, dislikes, etc, all the time.

And, naturally, it is a strenuous activity, since objects, people, and situations keep rushing toward death continually.

We keep imprinting because that’s the only way we can claim to exist (feel alive).

If they don’t exist, we wouldn’t have any identification left.

So, naturally, we keep on defending them.

If someone calls himself rich, imagine what he would call himself if he lost all his wealth.

Nothing was yours before birth, and nothing will remain yours after your death, so how is it yours now?

Meanwhile, all Objects, people, and situations keep going through their own cycles of birth, growth, decay, and death.

But we foolishly keep on printing our name on them as “mine” till we die (and, more foolishly, try to leave a legacy behind so that people can remember us even after death).

Egoing is our futile effort to “feel” alive.

But this is universal.

Everyone is busy doing the same thing.

No surprise that everybody is busy, stressed out, and suffering, keep Egoing and defending this illusory concept.

Nobody has time to come out of such an activity, even though it is meaningless and basically a fruitless activity.

Only by being a witness to this foolishness via mediation can the doors to eternal silence, peace, and contentment open up for you.

This world of pure awareness is always yours, and it is in you, right now, and forever.

It requires no effort to keep it alive (like Ego), because awareness is life itself, naturally alive.

Nature of awareness is amrutadharma ( one that never dies ) Vs sansar, which is mrityudharma ( destined to die ).

Choose life over death ( Egoing ).

Egoing is also material (so is the mind).

It is proportional to our possessions.

If we have 2 million dollars and it becomes one million, we are half dead, and if it becomes zero, we are totally dead.

BECOME the awareness, find your spiritual self, and experience the freedom from matter.
