Life is a painting.

Life is a painting.

Our whole lives are about capturing pictures of the world ( objects, people, situations ) and holding onto them, believing that they are ours.

The reality is something else.

Objects, people, situations—“he,” “she,” or “it”—are outside, and they can never enter our body (it is physically impossible for us or for them to do that ).

So, instead, what we do is – create their exact images in our psyche.

These images are so powerful and alive-looking that we believe they are real beings.

And then we stamp our stamp on their possessions—my home, my car, my girlfriend, my boyfriend, etc.

These are false beliefs.

We live our whole lives feeling good about these so-called possessions.

But when life comes to an end, we have to leave behind all of our “possessions. “

People feel empty when they leave this world because they never really owned anything that they could take with them.

If one contemplates this fact deeply, one will realize that the outside world is not for us to own, neither now nor ever.

This belief of ownership is the dream we have lived in for our whole lives.

Waking up from this daydream-filled life is awakening. Enlightenment, and the path to that is meditation.

When you live your life, remaining free from attachments and false ownership, you are transcending life’s duality ( chasing and choosing ).

As soon as you realize the futility of duality, you settle into the peaceful and tranquil life of Advait.

That’s when you realize those images were nothing but zillions of dreams captured in the medium of our chitta ( the consciousness ).

And that’s when that medium of Advait becomes the newly discovered truth for us – the only truth.

Stop running, and Advait is right there, waiting for you, for eons.
