Illusion of Ego

Illusion of Ego

A single thought, “I am this body” (Ego), made us leave our comfortable home of consciousness and set out on a journey with an unknown, uncertain destination, and we have been traveling ever since.

Around this single thought, we have created a complex web of thoughts, emotions, desires, philosophies, beliefs, and concepts, and haven’t been able to escape it ever since.

We are all suffering in this self-created web and cannot find the way out.

“Jalasha se nikli machchali jaise machchimar ki jaal mein tadafti hei, aisi hamari haalat hei “

– Buddha

( A fish, when it leaves the comfort of its home to “gain” something and ends up in a fisherman’s net, it suffers, and we are no different. )

The more efforts a fish makes, the more it keeps getting deeper into the net.

The more efforts the Ego puts in, the deeper it gets into its own net.

Only a patient, non-effort of meditation will yield us a crystal-clear consciousness, just as one needs patience to get pure water from a muddy pool by letting the dirt settle.

Every thought is dirt, and thoughtlessness is pure consciousness.

We were always pure consciousness before the Ego, and will again be pure consciousness after the Ego disappears.

The Ego is also consciousness, but an “unconscious” consciousness.

Soul is the comfort we have been looking for, but in the wrong place – Sansar, which is nothing but ever-changing chaos.

Trying to find contentment in Sansar is like trying to extract oil from the sand; it’s not going to happen.

Contentment found in Sansar ( money, fame, relations ) is never permanent; see it in your soul, which is eternal, beyond time.

The truth of consciousness only belongs to the seeker, no one else.

Don’t follow anyone, find your own path within.

“Only a dead fish follows the flow.”

– Buddha
