How to rise above the Ego.
When the Ego is your reality, you will “try” to fix the world – judging people, events, weather, all into good, bad, etc.
You will also “try” to fix yourself, judge yourself, your thoughts, your emotions, your beliefs, etc, again, all into good, bad, etc.
This is your mind – the divider; being divisive is its nature.
But you have the potential to be better than the mind.
Realize, MIND IS NOT YOU.
Dividing is not your nature, because you are the indivisible ONE; uniformity, assimilation, inclusiveness, and acceptance of all are your nature.
You are the awareness.
Practice awareness all the time.
Dissociate from the thoughts by observing them and letting them just pass.
Thoughts arise spontaneously by interactions in the world of forms ( Sansar ), forms interacting with one another; they are only byproducts of such interactions.
Similarly, emotions.
They will happen.
But be observant of them.
If someone says something and a feeling of offense arises, let it arise; don’t react to it.
Remain aware that getting offended is not you; it is your mind ( Ego ) that is being offended.
You are only the awareness that is aware of this happening ( event ).
This way, with practice, you will slowly lift yourself out of the world of mental sansar and its sufferings and secure your place in the peaceful and content kingdom of awareness.
