From Maya to Freedom

From Maya to Freedom

Only via introspection can one realize that all forms are nothing but arrangements, re-arrangements, and re-re-arrangements of the same ancient molecules, feeding the tree of evolution and bringing us to the present moment, but we are only a speck on this eternal tree.

All the forms reflect in our minds as thoughts only, and all thoughts swirl around a single false belief: “I”.

In a deeper meditation in the presence of awareness, one sees the pulverizing of this thought-created world of forms, including the “I”.

The clarity of the awareness is so profound that it easily and unequivocally establishes itself as the supreme self.

Awareness is a non-doer state, self-satisfied and complete.

In its glory, dies the spell of Maya.

Maya has a built-in nature of destruction; whatever appears also disappears. (Mrityudharma) (Mrityu = Death)

Awareness has a built-in nature of indestructibility; it never appeared (it always is: eternal), so it never disappears. (Amritdharma) (Amrit = nectar of life).

We may forget that it exists, but it never disappears; it is present in every single moment.

Our forgetting is Maya.

Based on Maya, we hold on to the past, get attached to the present, and fantasize about the future.

But, whenever you meet the awareness, it will happen in that moment (NOW) only, and your past-present-future imaginations will vanish, as if they never were.

All attachments to the Sansar – objects, people, situations, are attachments to death, dependency, and loss of freedom.

Non-attachment to Sansar is establishing the freedom, a built-in right of every existence – animate or inanimate.

Smell the freedom, palpate the freedom, BE the freedom, BE LIFE; life(awareness) is giving it out freely, you just have to claim it.

Along with “I,” drown all your beliefs, likes and dislikes, desires, fears, and the needs of others (objects, people, or situations) for support.

Experiencing and realizing the freedom creates a respect for freedom for all, leading to non-violence and non-discrimination

An awareness-led life is a life of peace and inexplicable maturity, not necessarily one of happiness (in the sansaric sense).
