Faith - the Last Step

Faith – the Last Step

Faith arises very last on the path of meditation. (If it is “made to rise” prematurely, it is fake).

Once the mind has exhausted itself in finding ways to reach God and has not met with any success (and how can it? A mango can never know the roots that made it come into existence), faith arises.

The path of Bhakti (devotion), on the other hand, starts with faith (God is presumed to be already there).

This path may sound easy, but it is not; you will be tested on a thousand fronts, challenging your “faith”.

Both are totally different paths.

One has to be very careful about which path to choose.

But one thing is for sure: without faith, spiritual fulfillment remains an illusion.

On the path of Bhakti, faith is given to you by religious institutions, and on the path of meditation, it has to be earned.

Not “earning” as a reward for one’s actions, but earning as God’s grace, which is the sweetest of any fruit you would ever have tasted in life.
