Ego is Your Shadow

Shadows are created by the sun; no sun, no shadows.
Similarly, Egos are created by Sansar; no Sansar, no Egos.
Walk into a jungle with a million dollars, or a beautiful face, and see how far they can take you.
Trees don’t care about your million dollars, or your beautiful face; nor do the animals.
They don’t have a million dollars or a beautiful face, and yet, they are happy, and you are not.
They fly, they sing, they dance in the wind, bathe in the rain, and enjoy the sunlight caressing them.
What’s the difference?
They have no Ego, and you do.
Stay on a deserted island, alone, for several years.
Without anyone calling you, you will soon forget your name.
Without a mirror, you will soon forget what your face looks like.
You will lose a lot ( from a Sansaric point of view), but you will gain a lot too.
Nature —the existence — will become everything for you.
And existence does not create or support shadows ( Egos ).
In pure existence, everyone and everything is of equal importance, no individualized Egos.
A common weed exists, and so does a colossal tree.
Existence is Advait ( non-dual ).
You don’t have to visit a deserted island to wash off your Ego.
Just meditate and realize what you have “gained” from Sansar (your body and mind) as outside influences (sanskaras).
They are your clothes, and consciousness is your true body.
Wash off these sanskaras in the light of full, steady, unwavering awareness, and you will soon start experiencing the non-dual joy of life.
