Consciousness

Consciousness is not called consciousness for no reason.

Being conscious is its nature.

On top of that, it is all-pervasive.

Consciousness can know what is happening in your mind ( thoughts ) and also what’s going on in the world.

It can see the bird flying outside and your thoughts from seeing that bird, simultaneously.

It is aware of both worlds, the inner and the outer.

Your body frame is incapable of stopping it from pervading, just like X-rays cannot be prevented from taking pictures of your bones.

Being all-pervasive doesn’t mean it travels from one place to another. ( which is the only way our mind can grasp ).

It does not need to travel, because it is sthit ( steady ), present everywhere ( omnipresent), all the time ( eternal ), and at the same time, in a perpetual knowing mode ( omniscient ) – ( sthitpragnya ).

It is the ultimate “knower” and can even know itself.

It knows all, but no one can know it.

Only consciousness can know consciousness.

With such a profound realization, where is room left for an individual Ego?

Awakening has to happen.
