Unfavorable outcomes and unexpected events in life are the vehicles through which our unsettled inner state manifests.

Most people will become upset and condemn others (or even nature, God, past karmas, etc.) for creating such events in their lives, thus getting caught in a spiral of negativity.

A true sadhak will use such events to assess his inner state.

In the full light of awareness, he will realize the instability of his mind and then utilize this realization to go deeper.

However, absolute stability does not come until one realizes one’s instability, even in the favorable events of life.

Just like unfavorable events, favorable events have the power to elevate you and, thus, make you unsettled.

Most people get inflated and take credit for whatever good has happened in life. ( Ego ).

From a sansaric angle, this may seem logical.

However, Spirituality suggests that this is also getting caught in a spiral of negativity.

A true sadhak will also remain aware of the instability that arises from favorable events.

He will remain cautious and aware of his inflation.

He uses this at the event also, to go deeper.

The impartial state of Samadhi is where sukh ( favorable events ) or dukh ( unfavorable events ) from the storms of samsara, neither can sway you.
