Chatter is the mind’s nature.
Leave it alone. Walk away from it.
Realize one thing: What are our inner thoughts about?
Various Objects, people, & situations.
The same objects, people, and situations we face outside are no different.
Spirituality does not see the difference between the outside and the inside.
Outside and inside of what?
The body.
This difference will persist as long as you have strong body consciousness.
You watch a bird flying.
Close your eyes, and the bird is still flying in your mind.
So, the same awareness that witnesses the thoughts in meditation will also witness the same objects, people, and situations outside.
This is not easy, but you are approaching that stage now so that this hint will be helpful.
This is the stage of expansion, where meditation starts spilling into your daily life.
To do that, you have to go through two essential steps –
Parmita and Sallinta.
( I have described them in detail in my book. )
Parmita is walking away ( from thoughts ) by turning 180 degrees, in the opposite direction from thoughts, and starts getting used to the awareness itself.
And, Sallinta is becoming ONE with it.
When you BECOME the consciousness, your body consciousness will start fading, and the body itself will become an object of consciousness.
So, inside and outside wouldn’t mean anything.
You will be living a consciousness-dominated life, a meditative life.
Parmita = Pratyahara ( withdrawing from, seeing meaningless in the senses ).
Sallinta = Dhyan ( becoming immersed ( and becoming ONE ) in consciousness
Parmita is your first step into true spirituality, really.
Thoughts are material, and you are now walking away from them.
Only consciousness can know consciousness; nothing or no one else can.
You have to direct your consciousness onto itself to know it. ( just the way we fold our tongue onto itself ).
