The Origin & Continuation of Ego

The Origin & Continuation of Ego

The ego starts in childhood, without your intention, so, in reality, it is a gift of nature, just like our body.

The ego is necessary to take care of our body, so that a child can tell mother that “I am hungry, thirsty, etc “.

It is also necessary to defend oneself against predators.

All this is necessary to preserve and eventually unfold the genes that will continue the evolution.

But if the Ego starts bringing suffering into life, at some point, it’s time to let it go and evolve into a higher consciousness, which is also available to us.

The earlier you do that, the better.

The ego is like the shell of a seed.

If the shell refuses to break down, it will rot and never produce a Bodhi Vraksh.

The ego is the wooden log that we have been clinging to to float in the river of Samsara.

But what we don’t realize is that the Ego is not a simple wooden log; it is a crocodile that is swallowing us day by day, life after life, into its belly – the Sansar, from where there is no return possible.

The ego never dies, even when you die.

It stays alive in a subtle form and reappears as soon as an opportunity arises, in the next birth.

So, deal with it once in full force in this life, get rid of it, and release yourself into the open, eternal skies of consciousness.
