In the daytime, we are thinkers; in the nighttime, we are dreamers.

Thinking and dreaming are both products of the mind.

And yet, at some point, in a deep sleep state, the mind disappears, and we are not a thinker, nor are we a dreamer.

Then, why are we in a deep sleep state?

That’s the time we are our true selves.

Thinking and dreaming are both temporary states created by the mind; consciousness surfaces when they both disappear.

Meditation is reaching consciousness and negating the mind ( thinking and dreaming, both ).

We are all different in the awake state and the dream state. ( Our lives are different from each other, and so are our dreams.)

But in a deep sleep state, we are all the same.

We are all different at the body and mind levels, but the same at the soul level.

Spirituality is stepping out of the flow of Samsara and finding the ocean of undefinable consciousness that binds us all.
The awake and dream states comprise objects (matter, form).

They are transient, appearing from and disappearing into the formless state of consciousness, just as clouds appear from and disappear into the vastness of the infinite sky.

Three Akash ( skies ) one needs to be familiar with on the spiritual path –

Bahya Akash ( outside sky ).

Chitta Akash ( inner space, emptiness with floating thoughts ), which meditators experience.

And

Siddha Akash ( infinite space where clouds of thoughts have merged and disappeared into ), where siddhas ( one in a samadhi state ) live.
